I began to try to have a website for my non profit organization. I came across Google Web Page Creator. My website name is Community For Future Students.
I went on Google because they have a lot of services. I looked if there was anything related to Web Design. There was a service under their labs it was called Google Labs where they experiment their services that are not totally completed and we could give suggestions for it.
I found out that you do not need to know complicated html or need a web designer. I do not know how this program is not like a complete web page but it is not finished. You type in your title and side bars. You choose the template and you could upload your own images or find them online and insert them. You could also link to other pages.
You can also type in the url and see it on the browser. It is yoursitename.googlepages.com. It is like Word Documents. There is no software and you do not need a web page designer. It includes a page manager and editor. For it to workd you need Internet Explorer 6.0,Firefox 1.0 or higher with Javascript and cookies enabled. You can also create others. The editor includes textboxes that you type in. You could do this at anytime. You can change the size and the style of the text and it also automatically saves for you even when you exit. The look of it can change. You can preview what you have done. You can link to your other pages,files that are on Google or your computer. You can also link to other web addresses but on the contract it says that it acknowledges that you be aware of copyright infringement. E-mail addresses can also be linked to. Your space is 100 MB. You could just as easily unpublish any pages.
