Computers are a big part of our economy because without them everything will be done slow. Looking at old articles while searching gave me how I could recycle my computers but this is the new age where we could change the computer to be energy efficient when it goes back to the economy. Once I put key words like non profit organizations and web page design on google alerts I received one that has been up to date. It gave me hope because the green revolution is focusing on every last detail which is good for our future generations. The article was called A greener glow for computers power management, consolidating equipment among options and in this piece it included information on how most of the energy used on a computer can be downsized to a minimal scale.

In this wordpress I try to deliver articles for improvement because sometimes we need to keep up to date with everything that is going on. If we are not then we cannot improve take for example,if we would have let skepticism rule the truth of global warming then we would not have known why are summers have been getting hotter as the year passed by. Required laws that would have every business have environmentally friendly requisites would have an impact on how much power is used in this nation. Then if we have businesses to distibute these products then single individuals will also save money and trees. So if you start a change then others could follow but people must be informed also. To keep it simple costs for environmentally friendly products are cheaper.

To keep it more simpler our computers has an energy saver mode like hibernation. You go to your control panel and select performance and maintenance until you reach power options. This will save you money drastically if you choose to hibernate your computer when not in use and the whole for thirty minutes as it stated in this article. What is the use of having your computer on if it is not in use. Other should know about this so we will not have blackouts anymore. This article contains many tips. Another one that I would like to mention is the fact that there is recycled paper. You do not need to buy another computer all you need to do is improve it. Memory could be added as well as other features you might need when it shows up. Businesses could also have printers that has more than one function like faxing. Printing software is efficient because sometimes there are pages that have no use whatsoever like the ones with leftover urls. This is useful because the software will see how much text could be in one page. The printer could be checked to see if it is duplex because if not it will be doing double the job.

According to the groups it is called “fiscal sponsorship”. In the link that was given to idealist org . I clicked ont the organization part of it of frequently asked questions and then when on to startup. It said that in the USA I have to have a tax-exempt status and a nonprofit mailing status and a nonprofit mailing profit. Some resources that were given were the IRS and UK Charities Commission. You can also look to other web pages. Starting one varies from state from state.

In its description it talks about how it has applications for the use for nonprofits. It is a cooperation of those involved in the project and the quota. This software is free it has no charge behind it. Its platform is PPC. The screenshot provides how it will look like on your computer.

It could mean mobilizing them to go to the polls for the new president.

On this site it talks about the different features of this new revolution. Myspace impact gave awards to nonprofits which helps others know about their cause. Myspace as it says will launch “ Impact-makers” that will help nonprofits for free by offering tools. Other users can also add it on their profile. They have not yet announced it though but this is a good idea considering their popularity.

Green construction is great because with whatever renewable source in the world, if used wisely will help our health. We will be less worried about asbestos in our rooms. The point I am trying to make is that although we recycle our computers. We will still buy computers with the same material I went on a google group called sci.space.policy.

If I would like to give away computers to youth who need it I must also make sure that the computers they are using will be in good condition and with right programs. That will cost money because I have to get a computer expert to see all that through. Thankfully there are websites online that will help me with that. One of them is called pcmech. This website allows a person to go online and find out about there computers in simpler terms. It also lets us understand the development of technology since it is moving in a rapid pace.

I searched on this same site for open source software. I do not know if I will find any computers without Windows but I want to know other options. So I found an article that explains open source software called What does Open Source Really Mean? . In a summary it said that a code is allowed to change without any legal restrictions. Then I went on another search about Windows and Linux. For now I do not thing running on open source as I thought it would be because in the article called Can Linux replace Windows I saw what was happening inside computers. Microsoft has made the rules since it began. When Microsoft came out battles came tout on court. It was also good software at the time. The reason that it will be hard for Linux is because it needs software for Linux. The market has been in favor of Windows and have not thought about Linux in their machines. Ther is Wine which is an open source implementation like API in Windows that could be used for Linux Unfortunately,it is not perfect. The support as it says in the article is “spotty”. Virtual machines is another option but it is also hard to do.

This form is for starting a nonprofit legally. It helps with the new tax returns. It mentions the change in accounting and record keeping. There is also a helpful link on how to complete it online for twenty-five dollars. The article also mentions that a nonprofit does not need to apply for 501(c) 3 status.

This article mentions the popularity of some articles. One is from Guidestar which talks about myths. Another one was about how much nonprofits are online in which two bloggers discuss what is being done. Another blog criticizes how Oprah handled the meaning of giving. Another talks about volunteerism. There is also an interesting topic that is about going on a site that you give information to a reporter. Another article speaks about how an event should be concerned about how an event will convey the message of a nonprofit and not on the celebrity that is there. Another article mentions how a nonprofit should reach their audiences emotions to have more donations. Another talks about how an article and a grant proposal are similar.

I found some information on how to get money for a good cause at these sites:read, write, web ,philanthropy and ejewishphilanthropy . All of them have “the similar idea of donating. Donating online has been done for some time now. People who donated online which is not a lot think that they do not think about it too much. But those who do that think about where there money is going to it is a very large a mount of money.

A large amount is given by the so-called “Wired Wealthy”. Charities must think about how they approach their online strategies. Donors must spend their hard-earned cash wisely and they also want to have a profit. The charities web design must have a good presence. There must be a connection and some inspiration. An idea from the site suggest e-mail. The e-mails must be good. You can include what their money was used and how much e-mail could be sent back and forth. Youtube is another idea because it is more of a connection. There were three personalities from this group. They are relationship seekers, casual connection and business. Online websites can adjust to fit their donors. This has become important.

After reading USA Today’s article called Much Toxic Computer Waste lands in
Third World, it gave me an idea of the dangers of computer waste. Not only do we hurt ourselves by contaminating our waters with the toxicity but we also hurt other countries. Unfortunately, those who recycle are not really one hundred percent recycling. Those who recycle are in third world countries with not a lot of protection for themselves or their own countries. This article mentions how villages in southeastern
China were found to do this. They only receive 1.50 a day. The water there has been polluted to dangerous levels. This is all from “recycled” parts. This has not been noticed and there was a 1989 treaty called the Basel Convention to stop it but it has not been ratified. More computes are along the way and businesses have to pay for recycling older materials. There is no organized way and it goes to other countries. There is a suggestion to include a initial sales price for recycling the material. Here in
California the article mentions that two senators introduced bills.

On the second article by Action Press, it was about the similar example of Guiyu dismantling computes in an unsafe way. The regions of Giuyu and
New Delhi are known to collect silver and gold. Those contaminants can bring about cancer to nervous system damage. It is not good for workers and public health. For
China labor there is a bulletin that talks about the dangers of computer waste and how much we contribute to it. It is hard to remove the possibility of profit for the country’s search for better technology and the people’s need for money. Basel Action Network and Greenpeace hopes to stop these dangers. Migrant workers are helped more thoroughly for there worker rights.
